Dynamic Equipments Private Limited is a reliable Manufacturer, Exporter and Supplier of Multi-Disc Screw Press Technology in India.
Our Manufacturing unit is based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
The Multi-Disc Screw Press (MDSP) by Dynamic Equipments Pvt. Ltd. (DEPL) is an advanced sludge dewatering system that operates on a unique filtration mechanism following effective coagulation and flocculation.
Engineered with alternating moving and fixed discs, the MDSP ensures continuous, self-cleaning, energy-efficient, and maintenance-free sludge dewatering.
Components of a Multi-Disc Screw Press
- a. Sludge Feed Line – Entry point for sludge delivered by a feed pump.
- b. Overflow Weir Pipe – Returns excess overflow back to the feed tank.
- c. Flocculator Agitator Drive – Enhances coagulation and flocculation with controlled mixing.
- d. Spiral Screw with Alternating Rings/Discs – The core system responsible for conveying and compressing sludge.
- e. Spray Nozzle Assembly – Cleans disc surfaces in case of external sludge leakage.
- f. Adjustable Pressure Plate – Regulates sludge cake dryness with 3 mm & 5 mm settings.
- g. Filtrate Outlet – Returns the separated filtrate back to the plant.
- h. Flocculator Tank Drain – Allows draining of the flocculation chamber for maintenance.
Working Principle of the Multi-Disc Screw Press
The MDSP operates through four sequential stages:
1 – Flocculation
- Sludge enters the inlet chamber through the sludge feed line and flows over an adjustable weir.
- Excess feed is returned to the feed tank through the adjustable coupler.
- Coagulants and anionic/cationic polyelectrolytes are dosed at the triangular weir and baffle section.
- A VFD-controlled mixer (12–22 RPM) enhances floc formation and maturity in the flocculation tank.
- Matured sludge is transferred to the screw chamber through a flexible hose.
2 & 3 – Thickening and Dewatering
- As sludge enters the screw chamber, water is immediately filtered through the alternating moving and fixed discs.
- The helical screw pushes sludge forward, gradually increasing dryness and thickness.
- The last section features an adjustable pressure plate that controls final cake dryness (3 mm or 5 mm).
- The output is discharged as a semi-dry sludge cake.
4 – Filtrate Recycling
- Filtrate collected at the bottom sump is returned to the feed tank or effluent plant for further treatment.
- DEPL’s MDSP includes a self-cleaning water jet system, controlled manually or automatically via solenoid valves and PCB panel.
- This ensures clog-free, reliable, and continuous operation.
