The Multi Disc Screw Press is an advanced sludge dewatering system that operates on a filtration mechanism after sludge coagulation and flocculation.
It features a unique stack of alternating moving and fixed discs, driven by a helical screw, to efficiently separate water from sludge and produce dry cake.

Sludge Feed Line: Entry point for sludge
Overflow Weir Pipe: Returns excess overflow

Spray Nozzle: Cleans sludge leakages outside discs

Configurations
Modular design available with 1, 2, 3, or up to 4 screws in a single machine
Working Principle & Process Stages:
1: Flocculation
Sludge enters via feed pump and adjustable weir coupler controls flow
Anionic or cationic polyelectrolyte is dosed through a triangular weir and baffle
Coagulation and flocculation occur in a tank with a VFD-controlled mixer (12-22 RPM)
Matured flocs move to the screw chamber through flexible hose
2 & 3: Thickening and Dewatering
Coagulated sludge enters screw chamber; water is filtered through discs
Sludge thickens and dries as it moves forward by the helical screw
Adjustable pressure plate (with 3 mm and 5 mm settings) controls cake dryness
4: Filtrate Recycling
Filtered water collected in sump returns to feed tank or effluent treatment plant
Equipped with self-cleaning water jets (manual/automatic via solenoid valves and PCB control panel)
Self-cleaning ensures clog-free, reliable operation
